  • What products kill MRSA? There are several products that have been tested and proven effective against MRSA. For surface disinfection we have Sani Professional® Brand Sani-Cloth® disinfecting wipes. For hand sanitizing use Sani-Hands® or Sani-Hands® for Kids.
  • Does Sani-Wipe® meet FDA Food Code Requirements? Yes. Sani-Wipe® has been reviewed by the FDA Food Code headquarters who issued a memo to all of their regional offices informing them of a determination that Sani-Wipe® is acceptable for use to sanitize food contact surfaces without requiring a rinse afterward.
  • What is so unique about Sani-Wipe®? While a 175 ppm quat (quaternary ammonium chloride) sanitizing solution is nothing new to the food service industry, having it available in a ready to use pre-moistened wipe is!
  • Where would a restaurant use Sani-Wipe®? Sani-Wipe® is ideal for use on hard non-porous food preparation surfaces.
  • Does Sani-Wipe® cost more to use? Pre-moistened towels are a premium product. But, when all things are considered - time/labor to fill buckets, mix bulk solutions, the cost of the paper towels and/or cotton towels - Sani-Wipe® will usually cost less.
  • What are the active ingredients? Sani-Wipe® is a quaternary ammonium chloride and alcohol-based sanitizer that consistently delivers an average of 175 parts per million of sanitizing solution.
  • Is Sani-Wipe® always ready to use? Yes, all that is necessary is to pull a wipe, wipe down the area to be sanitized and toss the wipe in an appropriate trash receptacle.
  • Can Sani-Wipe® be used for non-food contact surfaces? Yes, Sani-Wipe® can be used to sanitize hard non-porous surfaces.
  • Is Sani-Wipe® EPA Registered? Yes, EPA Reg. No. 9480-7
  • What is the EPA? "EPA" stands for the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA regulates among other products, sanitizing and disinfection products making claims against microorganisms on surfaces.

  • Is Sani-Wipe® Registered for sale in all states in the U.S.? Yes, Sani-Wipe® is registered for sale in all states.
  • Does Sani-Wipe® replace the need for food contact surfaces to be cleaned and rinsed? As part of the 3 step process (C-R-S), Sani-Wipe® can be used in any manner that you typically would use the red bucket. When using Sani-Wipe® to spot sanitize hard non-porous surfaces you would not need to clean and then rinse the surface prior to use.
  • Can Sani-Wipe® be used for meat thermometers? Sani-Wipe® can be used to sanitize meat thermometers provided they are cleaned and rinsed first.
  • Do I need to wear gloves when handling Sani-Wipe®? Tests have shown Sani-Wipe® to be at the lowest hazard rating for skin, eye, contact and inhalation. Sani-Wipe® is classified as Toxicity Category IV, which means that mild irritation may develop after 72 hours of use. (There are IV categories with category I being the most hazardous and category IV being the least.)
  • What Nice-Pak® Commercial products are effective against MRSA? Nice-Pak® Commercial has several products that have been proven effective against MRSA. For disinfection of hard non-porous surfaces use SaniCart® Wipe or Bathroom Disinfectant Wipes. For hand sanitizing, use Sani-Hands® II Instant Hand Sanitizing Wipes and Sani-Hands® for Kids Antimicrobial Alcohol Gel Wipes.
